Recovery objectives
Doctena commits to the following recovery targets for the production booking surface, measured from the moment of detection to the resumption of nominal service:
- Recovery Time Objective (RTO): 4 hours.
- Recovery Point Objective (RPO): 1 hour.
- Backup retention: a rolling 30-day window (one month).
These targets apply to the production transactional surface (booking, agenda, payments) and are validated yearly through a disaster-recovery exercise documented in the ISMS audit register.
Resilience architecture
- Active production deployed across at least two geographically isolated AWS availability zones inside
eu-central-1. - Application tier stateless and auto-scaling under load.
- Database tier replicated synchronously across availability zones; encrypted disaster-recovery copies of the snapshots are held in AWS Ireland (
eu-west-1), a second EU region. - CDN and DDoS protection at the edge (Cloudflare); DNS resolution operationally separated from application infrastructure.
Incident classification and communication
Incidents are classified by severity and by their impact on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the service, and are driven through a documented response process. Major incidents affecting the booking service are communicated on status.doctena.com and, for affected customers, by direct notification.
Recent incidents
